Accounts, 1802-1806, 1814-1818, 1833-1837.

Accounts of Robert Henry Van Rensselaer, 1814-1818 and 1833-1837; the later volume also contains ledger accounts kept by an unidentified person in Claverack (N.Y.), 1802-1806. The 1814-1818 volume, dated from Hudson Bush (N.Y.), contains accounts relating to the settlement of the estate of Henry J. Van Rensselaer; it includes a list of lands belonging to him. The 1833-1837 volume contains 60 p. of Robert Henry Van Rensselaer's accounts, many for real estate transactions as well as for the purchase of timber, etc., and ca. 200 p. of accounts kept by an unidentified person in Claverack (N.Y.), perhaps at a mill, recording transactions for rum, wheat, bran, rye flour, grinding plaster, etc. This volume has also been used as a scrapbook for later clippings, ephemera, and notes. Ephemera include a Remedy to Cure Diseases in Fowls, ca. 1852; clippings include two wood engravings, probably from the 1850s, showing Devon bulls belonging to R.H. Van Rensselaer.
